Where It All Began
In 1961, a few families and pastors from local Christian Churches dreamed of a place where people could step away from the noise and meet God in the quiet of His creation. They didn’t wait for perfect conditions—they picked up hammers, hauled blocks, and built a camp from the ground up on donated land in the Catskills.
What started with sweat, sacrifice, and prayer became more than buildings. It became a sacred space for life change, laughter around campfires, and friendships that outlast summers. For 65 years, Catskill Christian Assembly has been a place where generations have found Jesus, grown in faith, and built lasting community.
As we look back with gratitude, we honor those who gave their time, talent, and heart to build this place we love.
65 Years of Impact
For more than six decades, CCA has been a gathering place for students, families, churches, and leaders seeking a deeper connection with God. The cabins may be simple and the grounds may be rustic, but something sacred happens here.
In the quiet of these mountains, kids find Jesus for the first time. Adults rediscover rest. Churches reconnect. Friendships grow beyond the mountains.
What was built by hand in 1961 is still changing lives today—one camper, one retreat, one moment with God at a time.

Looking to the Future
The work isn’t finished. The same faith that built this camp still fuels it today. As we celebrate 65 years of God’s goodness, we’re stepping into a new season—one marked by vision, purpose, and excellence.
To ascend means to rise higher—not just in what we build, but in how we serve, lead, and love. It’s about continuing the work started decades ago and carrying it forward with the same heart that first broke ground here.
Together, we’re building on what’s been laid, investing in what’s to come, and ascending toward all God still has in store for Catskill Christian Assembly.
For 65 years, people have met Jesus on this mountain. Now, we’re stepping into a season of renewal and strengthening the spaces where life change happens and creating new areas for connection, worship, and rest.
In 2026, CCA will begin a series of major improvements designed to preserve the rustic charm we love while elevating the experience for every camper and guest. These upgrades will help us serve more people, more safely, and with greater excellence.
